Retail Electric Power Provider Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Retail Operations Manager manages the daily operations functions for the competitive retail division.
Areas of responsibility include billing, new service, member care, bank and accounts receivables reconciliations, write offs/collections, and capital credits.
Position manages team performance and development and manages the development of processes and procedures including instruction manuals/scripts for the team.
Some areas of responsibility require management of contracts for services.
Essential Job Functions Manages team performance and development to ensure member satisfaction and manages the development of processes and procedures.
Establishes and maintains NEC Co-op Energy Subsidiary of Nueces Electric Cooperative's General Ledger, maintain a daily reconciliation of payments received in bank to payments posted in the billing system, working with annual budget, yearend reporting and managing member billing to reduce errors and delays.
Manages the assignment and distribution of Power Perks Adjustment program in the billing system and capital credits account maintenance and distribution Assists CRO with monthly reporting, board reports, monitors the Retail Electric Market, identifies competitor strategies and makes suggestions to support operational growth.
Maintenance and administrative duties in assuring the billing/CIS system is working correctly including updates to system settings and properties, general ledger and transaction mapping, reports, user roles, and messaging.
Serves as liaison with CIS vendor in reporting issues and system enhancements to ensure system is functioning properly.
Minimum Requirements A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, finance, economics or related field.
A minimum of 5 (five) years of experience in accounting, including budgeting concepts and reconciliations including a minimum of two years of demonstrated supervisory experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills Advanced computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
Ability to use/learn computerized customer information systems at an advanced level.
Should be skilled in training, motivating and evaluating assigned personnel to obtain the highest degree of productivity and the development of individual capabilities.
Must be able to organize work to meet deadlines.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
Preferred Skill/Education/Experience Related graduate degree/ professional certificate (MBA, CMA or CPA) is preferred.
CIS software or comparable accounting software experience.
Demonstrated leadership and business development experience.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
