Senior Job DescriptionHII - Mission Technologies is looking to hire a motivated senior-level Aviation Maintenance Engineer to provide technical engineering expertise supporting the Army Future's Command and the Aviation Maintenance Engineering Division in Corpus Christi, Texas.
The Aviation Maintenance Engineering Division provides its engineers and analyst the opportunity to gain experience in a wide range of programs, including, Research & Development Fielding & Implementation and Sustainment Engineering programs.

HII team members perform in concert with our company slogan, Hard Stuff Done Right! Essential Job Responsibilities Support government engineers with expert advice, analysis, research, and technical guidance on aviation maintenance engineering solutions for rotary or unmanned aircraft systems.
Maintain knowledge of relevant scientific principles, application methods/procedures, and integration into engineering projects using systems, materials, electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering practices.
All candidates will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and drug screening per HII requirements.
Minimum Qualifications 9 years relevant experience with Bachelor's in a related field; 7 years relevant experience with a Master's in a related field; or 4 years relevant experience with Ph.
D.
or Juris Doctorate in a related field.
Experienced in applying engineering principles and analysis to develop and evaluate airworthiness engineering dispositions.
Experienced at evaluating technical documentation for adherence to policies, plans, procedures, and management requirements.
Experienced at working independently and coordinating project work with little supervision.
Experienced at reading and interpreting engineering drawings, repair manuals, and technical reports.
Experienced in writing detailed technical substantiation analyses, reports, and briefings.
Possess strong listening, written, and oral communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office and related software/programs.
Security Clearance:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Requirements 7 or more years of relevant engineering experience with a bachelor's degree or greater in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or Materials Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
Prior aviation maintenance experience on military aircraft.
Possess an active Department of Defense Security Clearance.
Physical RequirementsOffice and industrial environment.
Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for a one-person lift.
