Critical Facilities Manager

About the Opportunity
The Manager of Data Center Management will oversee the day-to-day operations of the production data centers and remote office IDFs. The ideal candidate will provide innovative approaches to the strategic and tactical goals aligned for our production environments. Responsible for equipment maintenance tasks such as managing and installing custom upgrades for customers; replacing cables, components and accessories; maintaining records and drawing schematics of the center to detail what equipment is installed. Responsible for the annual budget line items associated with the facilities.
Essential Functions
Manage and supervise datacenter operations
Develop and implement datacenter policies, procedures, and documentation
Oversight of data center financials including ordering, forecast, budget
Provide capacity management metrics and executive summaries in line with the established data center roadmaps
Establish data center technicians work schedules
Oversee the work of data center technicians in design and maintenance of data centers and remote offices
Prepare plans for development and installation of data center according to present and future requirements.
Collaborate with IT and other departments to prioritize data center projects
Evaluate metrics results within business unit to determine if organizational objectives are being met
Analyze and resolve datacenter issues and needs including escalated security issues, ensuring adequate power supply, and business continuity measures as related to the datacenter
Knowledge &Skills
Able to apply innovative approaches to solving technical issues
Able to oversee the administration of data center infrastructure according to company and/or industry standards
Excellent knowledge of data center infrastructure and operating procedures
Solid vendor management skills
Solid understanding of critical infrastructure design and architecture
Duties & Responsibilities
Provides technical leadership to the oversight and management of data center team
Sets priorities that align with Epsilon business objectives
Responsible for support of a set of legacy and strategic datacenters and related services
Continuously assess the state of the data center portfolio to determine improvement opportunities working in collaboration with other STS and business teams
Provide oversight, guidance, and/or coordination for data center project initiatives
Ensure that meaningful data center metrics related to established SLAs, availability, capacity, and performance are captured, validated and reported
Develop plans and strategies to improve data center performance, reliability and operational cost-effectiveness
Data Center financials
Metrics and reporting
Provide oversight of projects for data center moves, adds, and changes
Provide support as required to outsourcing partners, Architecture teams, Application teams, and business stakeholders
Administers staff performance management and career development activities
Reports department/functional area progress on initiatives to IT Senior Management
Participates in Organizational-wide strategic planning and initiatives
Adheres to all Company and department principles, processes, policies, standards and procedures

Technical Requirements
5-10 years of datacenter management experience leading teams
Understanding of data center architecture, operations and what it takes to deliver resilient datacenter solutions
Experience and familiarity with data center monitoring and tools

Demonstrated ability to collaborate on enterprise-wide initiatives
The ability to work under a heavy workload in a time critical environment
Effective written and oral communication skills
Requires analytical and problem solving skills
Solid understanding of data center best practices
5+ years progressive experience
Strong organizational and team leadership skills
Advocate for proven standardized processes and methodologies


Minimum of 10 years experience in a related field
Significant technical experience required
Associate s or Bachelor s degree preferred
Data Center Management, or Design certifications (optional)

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
