Senior Business Systems Analyst

About the Opportunity
As a member of Marketing Technology, the Senior Business Systems Analyst will act as the key liaison between the business and the technical delivery teams. The Senior Business Systems Analyst plays key roles within the technology organization across many disciplines within the SDLC, including requirements gathering, documentation, design and testing.
Essential Functions
Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems
Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements
Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements
Designs details of automated systems
Provides details to developers regarding what should be included in the software, application, or product to ensure it is included for client roll-out/implementation
May provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems
May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues
May be internal or external, client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions
Knowledge & Skills
Able to assemble, analyze and evaluate data and be able to make appropriate and well-reasoned recommendations and decisions to support the business and project teams
Able to assess a situation, receive input from stakeholders, and select a course of action
Able to clearly communicate and articulate, both written and verbally, detailed specifications (e. g., project requirements, requested changes, and testing results)
Able to create and update specs/documents, and assess completeness of requirements information received
Able to develop and maintain relationships within the organization and/or with external partners, and understand the unique needs of each partnership
Able to document information effectively through databases, knowledge warehouses, and other shared space
Able to properly interpret customer needs, and translate into understandable written requirements
Able to understand and support well-reasoned recommendations and decisions to support the business and project teams

As needed, able to serve as a liaison between: developers and users, clients and companies, and management and IT

Duties & Responsibilities
Interface with the client and epsilon technology delivery teams, supporting the design and delivery
of medium to large scale marketing database solutions
Lead requirements gathering sessions via client or key stakeholder interviews
Take ownership of all written documentation (your own and others) including requirements,
functional specifications, test plans and production ready manuals
Work with and support technical staff in the design, development and testing of the solution
Support production staff & client end users in the use of designed solution during transition to
Account Team
Technical Requirements
Experience with project delivery and the system delivery life cycle (SDLC) involving medium to large
scale databases
Solid understanding of Relational Database Management Systems, SQL, and Business intelligence
tool/Reporting tools
Use of Campaign tools such as Unica and Adobe Campaign is preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with test planning and test plan execution this should be listed as required (not preferred). Maybe include it as a bullet in one of the sections above.
Requires 5 years of related experience
At this level, postgraduate coursework may be desirable
Associate s or Bachelor s degree preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
