Lighting Compliance Officer

The Compliance Officer is responsible for researching,managing and coordinating 3rd party Safety Compliance testing for theFluence product portfolio. This person will provide guidance to the design teamto navigate electrical/mechanical design requirements on new products. When theproducts are ready for testing, the Compliance Officer is the primary liaisonwith the Certifying Agencies chosen to do the work. This person is responsiblefor sending and returning fixtures for test, organizing all reports andmaintaining the technical file pertaining to our products. In cases whereFluence has opportunities in new markets, the Compliance Officer will work withthe Marketing team to understand what certifications are required. This personwill also participate on steering committees and industrial panels involvedwith scoping the future of lighting regulation and rebate methodologies.
ResponsibilitiesInclude:
Thoroughfamiliarity with relevant lighting standards in the US and Europe, such asUL1598, UL8750, EN 61347, EN 60598, EN 61558, EN 55015, and CISPR 15, etc.
Workwith Engineering during product development with guidance related tocertification requirements.
Coordinateall testing activity with 3rd party labs.
Engagewith 3rd party labs to solve issues during the certificationprocess.
Organizeand maintain certification reports for all products.
Maintainthe technical files for proof of certification as needed.
Workwith Marketing to research and define requirements for product certificationsin new markets.
Coordinatetesting with DLC and other rebate agencies.
Participationon steering committees involved in lighting standards and rebates.
Helpthe sales team to secure rebates through local electrical utilities when necessary.
This candidate should have 5 years in product certification involving LED lighting, and must have thorough working knowledge of the North America UL and European EN/IEC lighting standards. The candidate must be detailed oriented, and able to keep up with multiple projects at the same time. This person needs excellent interpersonal skills as they will represent Fluence to both certifying agencies and customers who require information about our product certifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
