Principal Technical Program Manager, University Hubs

The Strategic Recruiting and Academic Partnerships Team focuses on building top specialized talent communities in Design and Applied Research, including Machine Learning (ML), Computer Vision, Speech Recognition/Natural Language Processing, Optimization, Economics, Sustainability, Hardware, Data Science and Robotics globally at Amazon.
We build teams in emerging fields and recruit senior Design and Science leaders.
As a core talent function, we also develop Amazon's presence at key gatherings, drive academic relations and facilitate internal community efforts.
Our efforts support Amazon's development of new businesses, such as Alexa and Amazon Go while ensuring state-of-the-art research and design are at the forefront of Amazon's more mature organizations.
We are seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager for the newly formed University Hubs initiative.
A University Hub is regionally-based and incorporates multiple universities and Amazon business units to ensure sustainable and productive scientific partnerships.
We will utilize the Amazon Scholars program to bring talent in such Hubs.
The Amazon Scholar program is a program aimed at enabling university professors to work on large-scale and high-impact technical challenges at Amazon without leaving their academic institution.

, customer data) and a physical infrastructure (e.

, fulfillment centers).
The Program Manager for the University Hubs initiative will drive these efforts globally:
Build the strategy for university partnerships in specific regions to accelerate hiring and R&D development Align technical requirements and skills needed for Amazon businesses with technical direction of professors.
Work with broad array of stakeholders to drive a university partnerships agenda, include finance, HR, science leaders, legal, PR Partner closely with the Scholars program and PhD Recruiting Own KPIs, reporting and communication on University Hubs with customers internally and externally.
Define and valuate technical contribution of Hubs partners.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
